A Blueberry Festival was held for the first time in Armenia in Margahovit community

Blueberry festival was held for the first time in Armenia at the initiative of the charity foundation "ATP" in Margahovit community of Lori region.

The aim of the festival was to promote blueberry cultivation as well as to present ecotourism opportunities in the region. The Delegation of the European Union to Armenia and AREGAK Universal Credit Organization supported the event.
Lori deputy governor Gayane Markosyan, officials of the governor's office, Ambassador of the European Union Pyotr Svitalski, members of the National Assembly, many guests and tourists attended the festival.
During the festival a fair was held, where a lot of farm products and handicrafts were shown, various activities were held, including blueberry growing training, interactive environmental games, bird watching, a forest walk with live music, delicious food and of course blueberry juice.


On the occasion of the opening of the festival, Gayane Markosyan made a speech of welcome, emphasizing that similar events make Lori and the region's benefits known to the world. She also mentioned, that the governor’s office of Lori is ready to support the organization of festivals that raise the reputation and recognition of the region and spend the festivals with the organizers and participants.
